Seeking a Senior Engineer with a passion for deep dives into Linux internals and a knack for tackling the most challenging automation tasks. In this role, you will build the software that monitors, repairs, and certifies our test fleet. You won’t just be writing scripts; you will be building a distributed system that manages hardware reliability at scale.

What You Will Do

• Build "Doctor" Tools: Write software that automatically diagnoses why a testbed is sick (e.g., distinguishing between a network flake, a bad disk, or a corrupted OS) and fixes it.

• Automate Recovery: Design self-healing loops that can reboot, re-image, or re-configure devices to bring them back to a "Golden State" without human intervention.

• Gatekeeper of Quality: Implement certification pipelines that verify hardware health before allowing any test jobs to run on the machine.

• Debug Complex Failures: Dive deep into logs, kernel dumps, and network traces to figure out why a machine went offline and code the fix so it doesn't happen again.

• Improve Observability: Build dashboards that tell us real metrics—not just uptime, but effective availability, recovery times, and fleet degradation trends.

What We Need From You

• Coding: Strong proficiency in Python or Go. You write clean, maintainable code, not just one-off scripts.

• Linux Depth: You know your way around a Linux system. You understand systemd, storage subsystems, permissions, and how to debug a machine that won't boot or connect.

• Networking: You understand how machines talk to each other. You can troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, routing, and SSH connectivity issues comfortably.

• Infrastructure Mindset: Experience working with physical hardware, labs, or virtualized clusters (VMs/Containers). You understand that hardware is messy and fails in weird ways.

• CI/CD Familiarity: You know how to build reliable pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) and treat infrastructure as code.
