Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for an AWS Architect with extensive experience in cloud architecture and distributed systems. This role focuses on designing and implementing resilient, scalable, and observable cloud native solutions, defining enterprise cloud strategies, and translating business requirements into technical architectures. The position requires strong collaboration with cross functional teams, creation of reusable design patterns and reference architectures, and driving DevOps, automation, and Agile best practices across teams.

What you will do:

• Design and implement large scale distributed systems with focus on resiliency, scalability, and observability.
• Define cloud native strategies and architectures for enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Create technical design specifications, reference architectures, and reusable patterns.
• Drive adoption of DevOps practices, CI CD pipelines, and automation across teams.
• Lead and mentor teams in Agile delivery models and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
• Define API first and event driven architecture patterns and implement containerized microservices solutions.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and manage CI CD pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins.
• Establish observability practices using logging, metrics, and tracing tools including ELK.
• Own and drive cloud architecture initiatives end to end in an Agile environment.

• Extensive experience in cloud architecture and distributed systems.
• Strong expertise with AWS platforms including IaaS, PaaS, serverless, containers, EKS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong database knowledge with PostgreSQL and NoSQL technologies such as DynamoDB and DocumentDB.
• Hands on experience with Terraform, GitLab CI CD, Jenkins, and DevOps toolchains.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes orchestration and containerized microservices.
• Experience with API first and event driven architectures and Kafka ecosystem.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools, especially ELK.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling best practices and Agile methodologies.
• Experience using Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Excellent communication skills to engage technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience working with global distributed teams.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF preferred.
• Familiarity with financial services domain and credit cards preferred.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification preferred.
