ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Working Student to join our Commercial Analytics/Commercial Strategy team in Berlin. You will work directly with our Senior Business Analyst and support the day-to-day operations of our deal desk and commercial processes — from cashback and pricing monitoring to reporting and process improvement. This is a hands-on role with real ownership and direct exposure to commercial strategy, finance, and sales.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
1. Deal Desk & Commercial Operations
Support the execution of cashback overviews, margin tracking, and partner revenue share models
Help configure and maintain pricing settings on the Pliant platform
Assist in preparing customised pricing proposals and deal materials for the sales team
Ensure accuracy and consistency across all commercial calculations and documentation
2. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
Maintain and improve recurring dashboards and reports for commercial and financial KPIs
Monitor key metrics (e.g. cashback volumes, margin performance, transaction data) and flag anomalies
Support the production of monthly reports and ad-hoc analyses
Work with BI tools to structure and visualise data in a clear and actionable way
3. Process Improvement & Automation
Identify inefficiencies in existing manual workflows and contribute ideas to automate or streamline them
Support the documentation and standardisation of operational processes and templates
Help evaluate and implement AI tools to improve team efficiency and reduce repetitive work
4. Cross-functional Support
Collaborate with different teams on pricing and analytics topics
Assist with CRM data quality and HubSpot-related reporting tasks
Prepare structured summaries and presentations for internal stakeholders
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Currently enrolled in a university degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data, or a related field
0–2 years of relevant experience (internships and working student roles count) — ideally in consulting, finance, operations, or a startup/FinTech environment
Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data and numbers
Hands-on experience with Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with BI tools or CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot) is a plus
Curiosity for AI tools and a willingness to explore how they can be applied to real business problems
High attention to detail and a structured, process-oriented way of working
Proactive mindset — you take ownership and don't wait to be told what to do
Comfortable in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with changing priorities
Fluency in English is required; German is a strong plus
WHAT WE OFFER
The opportunity to work in a growing team with big responsibilities that thrives on a strong exchange of knowledge and excellence
Attractive remuneration
Your choice of preferred OS, Windows or Mac
Flat hierarchy and transparent communication in a relaxed, professional atmosphere
Opportunity to develop your talent in a dynamic team with ambitious goals
Flexibility and possibility to work remotely
Monthly mobility benefit
Wellhub Membership
Pliant Card with monthly credit to explore the product and enjoy food with colleagues
