Working Student - AI/ML Research (m/f/d)

Your mission:
• Design and train ML models for prediction
• Prototype on-device ML deployment pipelines optimized for mobile/edge constraints
• Develop data collection, labeling, and fine-tuning workflows for domain-specific model improvement
• Evaluate classical ML vs. deep learning vs. Transformer approaches per use case and recommend the right tool for each problem
• Collaborate with backend engineers on model serving infrastructure, feature stores, and inference APIs
• Document research findings, model performance benchmarks, and architecture decisions
• Ensure GDPR compliance in data handling and on-device inference design

Your profile:
• Currently enrolled in a master’s or PhD program in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field at a German university
• Eligible for a working student visa (Werkstudent) in Germany
• Strong foundation in classical ML and deep learning (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers)
• Hands-on experience with at least one end-to-end ML pipeline: data collection → labeling → training → evaluation → deployment
• Knowledge in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow)
