Job Description
State Street provides Pricing Services for Asset Managers and Pension Funds. The primary service revolves under running control reports Missing, Variance and Stale as per client instruction and resolving all the exceptions. In the process, team will apply price for missing price securities
Validate variance and stale with alternate vendor, Research Corporate Action Securities
Perform portfolio level pricing and Generate & Publish Client Specific Reports. The Clients’ portfolios include products like Equity, Fixed Income, OTC and Exchange-traded Derivatives, FX, Bank Loans, Futures forwards and Option products.
The teams perform the control checks for Daily, Weekly, Monthly.
Primary responsibilities
Manage Delivery of Security Valuations function and processes Lead a team of ~ 100 approx. members in multiple locations Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Security Valuations team Stakeholder management – internal and external Relationship management Coordinate with External Auditors provide required information for the Audit Manage end to end transitions and ramp up’s Provide timely data, reporting and needed analysis to senior management and other key stakeholders Ensure significant attention to Risk Excellence to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards and industry developments
Process Re-engineering & Automation responsibilities
Lead the process Re-Engineering, Standardization, Automation initiatives
Drive continuous process improvements and standardization across the process
Drive and support Implementation of the re-engineering and automation
efforts
Implement global best practices across the Security Valuation function Exposure to Automation efforts like RPA and AI will be an advantage
Education and Experience:
Professional qualification in Management
Minimum of 12-15 years’ experience in Pricing, Settlements, Middle Office Operations or Capital Market Operations
Preference will be given to candidates with exposure to Pricing or Valuations
Skills & other requirements:
Should have managed a large team in a multi-location environment
Senior-level communication skills, presentation skills, prior experience of interacting with multiple stakeholders
Independent decision-making capabilities, demonstrated thought leadership
Pride of ownership with the ability to deliver high quality results timely
Self-motivated, self-assured, and self-managed
Problem solving skills
Highly organized with ability to multi-task and work under high pressure deadlines
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
Must have good product knowledge across Equity, Fixed Income, and Derivatives.
The candidate must have well-developed analytical skills.
Candidate must exhibit excellent attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines.
