What You’ll Do:
Ultrasound Technologist works directly with patients and physicians and operates the equipment that uses high-frequency soundwaves to take images and scans of the body’s internal organs.
Ensuring the safety and comfort of patients
Providing sonograms and oral or written summaries of technical findings to physicians for use in medical diagnosis
Operating ultrasound equipment to produce and record images of normal and abnormal anatomy.
Maintain records that include patient information, ultrasound images, and interpretations, files of correspondence, and other related documents/reports.
What You Need for This Job:
High School Diploma or general education degree
Graduate from a formal ultrasound program or school
CPR/ First Aid Certification
One-year certificate from college or technical school; two-four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must reside in or near Wasilla, Alaska.
Have general knowledge of EMR software and Outlook Programs
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to frequently stand; walk; sit; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
