You will…
- Lead projects to improve tools and processes to efficiently discover and track issues.
- Use an automation first approach to evaluate software releases and improve our release process.
- Implement a data driven methodology for issue prioritization and resolution.
- Create high quality documentation to train new team members and productionalize novel processes.
- Help drive Waabi’s safety culture through application of safety standards and methodologies in your area of responsibility across all supporting teams at Waabi including Systems Engineering, Hardware and Software.
- Support the documentation and tracing of all product and system requirements to tests and their executions.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance Waabi’s behavioral evaluation capabilities, look for novel approaches, identify and apply lessons learned and ensure a detailed and comprehensive documentation that is easily accessible.

Qualifications:
- Undergrad required; Undergrad or Masters in an engineering discipline preferred.
- 4+ years of automotive, robotics, aerospace or related industry experience.
- Experience with requirements and metrics for driving behavior evaluations.
- Experience with root causing complex systems in structured and unstructured testing.
- Experience with methods and standards such as STPA, SOTIF (ISO 21448) and / or UL 4600.
- Strong fundamentals in mathematics, engineering and physics.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts or data in a simple-yet-accurate manner.
- Excellent data analysis skills with modern tools such as Python or Matlab.
- Open-minded and collaborative leader who is eager to provide guidance and has the willingness to help others.
- Passionate about self-driving technologies, solving hard problems, and creating innovative solutions.

Bonus/nice to have:
- Experience in launching a driverless product.
- Experience in the automotive self driving industry.
- Experience building software systems from scratch.
- Experience in robotics or machine learning.
- Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis.

The US yearly salary range for this role is: $126,225- $189,750 USD in addition to competitive perks & benefits. Waabi US Inc.'s yearly salary ranges are determined based on several factors in accordance with the Company’s compensation practices. The salary base range is reflective of the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Note: The Company provides additional compensation for employees in this role, including discretionary equity incentive awards and discretionary annual performance bonus.
