Test Automation Engineer - RF Sensor Technologies

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to help ensure the quality and reliability of Dedrone’s RF sensor software and systems. In this role, you will develop and maintain automated tests across component, integration, and system levels, while strengthening our test infrastructure and CI environments.

Responsibilities

• Support the quality of Dedrone’s RF sensor software by creating and running automated tests (component/integration/system).

• Help reproduce issues, collect logs/data, and clearly report findings to Engineering and Tech Support.

• Maintain and improve test setups (Linux-based systems, test environments, and hardware) with guidance from the team.

• Contribute to test documentation and keep test results and defects well recorded.

• Support release and field testing when needed.

• Use modern tools—including AI-assisted workflows—to improve speed, coverage, and test maintainability.

Qualifications

• Technical education (e.g., EE/CS/embedded) or equivalent practical experience.

• First hands-on experience writing code/scripts (any scripting language is fine) and motivation to grow in test automation.

• Structured and analytical mindset with a strong sense of quality.

• Quick learner who can grasp new concepts and interfaces fast.

• Good English communication skills; able to collaborate and ask the right questions.

• Nice to have: Linux experience, basic networking knowledge, drones/RF sensor exposure.

Work Location: This role is based out of our Kassel office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation.
