About the role

The RBI Team develops the Netskope Remote Browser Isolation (RBI) service. RBI isolates uncategorized and risky websites for our Next Gen Secure Web Gateway (SWG) and Security Service Edge (SSE) solutions. Known safe sites are allowed, known bad sites are blocked, and risky websites are isolated for safe viewing all within one cloud platform, one console, and one policy engine.

What’s in it for you

As a member of the Remote Browser Isolation (RBI) team you will work cross-functionally to build and scale the last line of defense when it comes to corporate browsing for users. You will be solving challenging problems in distributed systems at large scale. This includes performance and scalability, high availability, monitoring, visibility and analytics. You will also be exposed to advanced Web technologies, such as Chromium and Chromium Embedded Framework, and highly distributed network features.

What you will be doing

• Building a Remote Browser Isolation service that protects and isolates the user from any possible harm while browsing

• Building software to provide a scalable framework supporting enablement and rapid deployment of distributed applications and services in a microservice architecture.

• Working with product and engineer managers to define and implement the product, working with architects for high-level and detailed architecture design, and coordinating with other teams to complete the solution.

• Integrate with other features like DLP and Threat protection, Enterprise Browser, connectors and more.

• Ensuring product resiliency and sustainability.

• Coaching, mentoring and encouraging the growth and career progression of team members.

• Establishing best practices and code hygiene in software development.

Required skills and experience

• 15+ years of work experience, including extensive experience building desktop and high-performance networking software and cloud services

• Experience in the development of customer-facing products

• Architectural experience with building frameworks for rapid deployment and expansion

• Strong design skills and system design experience in a linux environment

• Experience in multi-threaded, multi-component complex systems

• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms.

• Good understanding of distributed systems and networking technologies.

• Good understanding of image and audio processing, encoding and decoding and transmission on low latency systems.

• Strong programming knowledge of one of the following: C/ C++, Go, Python

• Ability to suggest coding best practices and bring in effective code review feedback.

• Flexible in coordinating with global teams and encouraging round-the-clock efficiency

• Ability to coach, mentor and encourage growth and career progress of team members.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Communicate in an open, transparent and consistent manner with team and co-workers.

• Determined and ever ready to roll up sleeves to respond to the needs of customers proactively and promptly.

• Believe in innovation and out-of-the box thinking to foster originality of ideas

• Knowledge and experience with browser technology, CEF and Chromium are a big plus.

• Experience in Kubernetes and building software using CNCF components and hands-on experience with CI-CD tools managing deployment at cloud scale (preferred).

• Past experience working with international teams from different countries/cultures is preferred.

Education

• BSCS or equivalent required, MSCS or equivalent strongly preferred
