We are seeking a Team Leader, IT System Administrator, who will serve as a player-coach –leading our IT operations, directly contributing to complex technical challenges, and streamlining access, automation, and infrastructure processes to create a world-class team member experience.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL:

• Lead and inspire a team of IT System Administrators, providing mentorship, guidance, and support for their growth and development.

• Oversee the end-to-end automation of onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring seamless access provisioning and deprovisioning across internal and external systems (such as Okta, custom workflows, and more), with a long-term goal of ensuring every team member has access to every tool they need on day one.

• Develop and own automation solutions and integrations for repetitive or manual IT tasks, driving efficiency across the organization.

• Act as a primary escalation point for IT-related questions and challenges, both within Rocket Money and the wider Rocket organization, championing a culture of automation and continuous improvement.

• Act as a proactive advocate for Rocket Money’s IT needs across the broader Rocket ecosystem — championing seamless team member experiences for essential services such as VPN and network connectivity, while thoughtfully balancing usability with organizational security requirements.

• Build and maintain strong, cross-functional relationships across technical and non-technical teams, partnering closely to address challenges and develop best practices.

• Defining OKRs for the IT organization, tracking success with measurable results that focus on highest-impact areas first.

ABOUT YOU 🦄

• 5+ years of experience in IT or Systems Administration roles, with demonstrated growth and increasing responsibilities (including 1+ years in a leadership or mentorship capacity).

• Proven track record of administering identity and access management platforms, especially Okta (including SAML & SCIM integrations).

• Skilled with Slack integrations; experience designing custom Slack Workflows is a plus.

• Strong automation mindset and hands-on experience streamlining workflows with code and scripting (Python, bash, PowerShell, or similar).

• Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative spirit and the confidence to contribute ideas among experts from diverse disciplines.

• A trusted advisor, known for building strong relationships and a reputation as a go-to expert for IT solutions, advice, and implementation.

Additional information: Salary range of $130,000 - $160,000/year + bonus + benefits. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
