Job Description
GoMining is looking for an experienced Team Lead DevOps / SRE - a hands-on technical leader who combines deep infrastructure expertise with team leadership. This role is for a playing coach: someone who designs and builds systems personally, while also guiding engineers, setting technical direction, and strengthening DevOps/SRE practices across the company.
You will be responsible not only for reliability, scalability, and security of our crypto & fintech products, but also for developing the team, improving processes, and participating in hiring and technical decision-making
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Architecture
• Design and implement fault-tolerant, scalable, and cost-efficient infrastructure for high-load crypto and fintech products.
• Form architectural solutions with a strong focus on security, reliability, performance, and total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Own and evolve platform architecture (Kubernetes, cloud, bare metal, hybrid setups).
• Define and promote SRE best practices: SLI, SLO, error budgets, incident management.
Hands-on Engineering (Playing Coach)
• Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, virtual machines, and on-prem / cloud infrastructure.
• Participate directly in solving complex production issues and incident response.
• Optimize system performance (CPU, memory, disk, network) and ensure high availability.
• Support and improve business-critical applications together with product and development teams.
Automation & CI/CD
• Lead automation of development, deployment, and operational processes.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI).
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management practices.
• Improve SDLC efficiency through DevOps principles and tooling.
Team Leadership & Hiring
• Act as a technical leader and mentor for DevOps/SRE engineers.
• Participate in hiring: resume screening, technical interviews, and candidate evaluation.
• Help onboard new team members and grow internal expertise.
• Balance hands-on work with coordination, prioritization, and technical guidance.
Requirements:
Core Skills
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Solid Linux administration (Debian-based systems), networking, and system internals.
• Experience with cloud providers: AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, Hetzner (multi-cloud or hybrid is a plus).
• CI/CD experience with GitLab, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
• Automation and configuration management: Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Datastores & messaging: PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis (scaling, backups, reliability).
• Monitoring & observability experience (metrics, logs, traces).
Programming & Scripting
• Confident scripting in Bash and Python.
• Experience or readiness to work with Go / TypeScript for internal tooling.
• Strong Git knowledge and collaboration workflows.
Nice to Have
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or Pulumi.
• Advanced monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Zabbix.
• Experience with high-load microservice architectures.
• Security & compliance awareness: ISO27001, SOC 2, GDPR.
• Prior experience as a tech lead, team lead, or senior engineer mentoring others.
Benefits:
• Professional growth: support for courses, conferences, and English learning (up to 100% coverage).
• Work-life fit: remote or hybrid format with flexible hours across international teams.
• Paid leave: up to 28 vacation days, 15 sick days, plus local holidays.
• Recognition programs: structured performance reviews and team awards.
• Team culture: retreats in international locations (for example, company villa in Turkey, Bali).
