Position Summary:

Teaching Assistants will assist first-year dentistry students in thoracic anatomy prosection-based laboratories as part of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry curriculum (total of 9 hours: 6 hours of laboratory teaching, 2 hours of review sessions, and 1 hour of exam-related activities). They should demonstrate the ability to teach human anatomy in the lab and effectively facilitate student learning using prosections of the thorax, including the respiratory system, circulatory system, heart, and mediastinum. Responsibilities include supporting three (3) laboratory sessions (2 hours each). In addition, Teaching Assistants will participate in the supervision and facilitation of an anatomy review session (2 hours), as well as assist with the preparation and invigilation of the anatomy lab exam (1 hour).

Qualifications:

Must have previous laboratory experience in human anatomy on topics relevant to the course description. Strong knowledge of respiratory anatomy and circulatory system anatomy, and good communication skills are essential. Effective communication skills in English are essential. Communication in French is an asset.
