Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in PHP and TypeScript to design, build, and operate scalable, reliable systems and infrastructure.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions that meet performance, scalability, and availability goals, while driving engineering excellence through automation, observability, and collaboration. You will lead by example through strong technical design, effective incident management, and mentorship, ensuring system resilience and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and fullstack applications using PHP and TypeScript.

• Build and operate highly available, reliable services that meet performance and uptime requirements.

• Lead technical design and architecture discussions, ensuring best practices and scalability.

• Implement and enhance observability (logging, monitoring, tracing) to improve system reliability.

• Drive automation across development, testing, and deployment processes.

• Participate in and lead incident management, including root cause analysis and post-mortems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, DevOps, QA) to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Optimize system performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, promoting best practices and continuous learning.

• Contribute to improving engineering standards, processes, and tooling.

Qualifications and Skills

• 5–8+ years of experience in software engineering.

• Strong hands-on experience with:

• PHP (Laravel, Symfony, or similar frameworks)

• TypeScript / JavaScript (Node.js and/or modern frontend frameworks like React)

• Experience designing and building distributed systems and microservices architectures.

• Strong understanding of:

• System design, scalability, and performance optimization

• RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture

• Experience with observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing).

• Proficiency with version control systems (Git).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems.

• Experience with database design and optimization (SQL/NoSQL).

• Understanding of security best practices in application development.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
