Job Description
Overview
This Senior role sits within RG Barry’s Creative Services team and supports multiple brands across the portfolio. The Senior AI & 3D Creative Innovation Lead is responsible for advancing the practical, responsible, and scalable use of AI and 3D technologies within creative production—across design, photography, display, interiors, and campaign work.
This role is primarily execution- and production-focused, with a strong mandate to translate emerging technologies into measurable production impact. While exploration and experimentation remain important, success in this role is defined by the ability to operationalize tools and workflows that increase creative throughput, expand content variety, and enable teams to deliver more work at scale—without compromising brand integrity or quality.
The role partners closely with Creative Services leadership, as well as IT and Legal, to evaluate, test, and responsibly integrate both existing and emerging tools. There are no direct reports initially, this role operates at a Senior Manager level and is expected to demonstrate leadership capability with the potential to help build and scale a creative technology function over time.
What You’ll Do
Production Enablement & Execution (Primary Focus)
Drive the implementation of AI and 3D technologies into day-to-day creative production workflows across design, photography, and campaign execution.
Work hands-on with creative teams to ensure new tools are production-ready, repeatable, and scalable.
Enable increased creative output, faster iteration, and expanded content variety through thoughtful use of automation, generative AI, and 3D workflows.
Identify opportunities where AI and 3D can meaningfully reduce production time or unlock new efficiencies without sacrificing quality.
Exploration & Experimentation (Secondary Focus)
Research, evaluate, and stay current on emerging AI and 3D technologies relevant to creative production.
Lead targeted pilots and proof-of-concept initiatives designed to test clear hypotheses tied to production impact, scalability, or creative capability.
Assess tools not only for creative potential, but for feasibility, risk, and long-term value in a production environment.
Tool Evaluation, Governance & Stewardship
Partner with IT and Legal to evaluate, vet, and approve AI and 3D tools based on defined use cases, compliance requirements, and risk considerations.
Establish and uphold best practices for ethical, responsible, and brand-safe use of AI across creative outputs.
Collaborate with Legal, Brand, and IT partners to address IP, usage rights, data integrity, and compliance considerations.
Develop documentation, standards, and guardrails that allow teams to adopt new technologies confidently and responsibly.
Strategy, Collaboration & Influence
Contribute to creative technology strategy in close partnership with Creative Services leadership.
Serve as a subject-matter expert and trusted advisor to creative leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Support adoption through training, documentation, and ongoing optimization of tools and workflows.
Measure outcomes and provide data-backed insights on production impact, adoption, and opportunities for continued improvement.
Creative production workflows are measurably faster, more scalable, and capable of supporting higher volumes and greater content variety.
AI and 3D tools are embedded into production processes—not isolated as experiments.
Creative teams confidently use approved tools within clear ethical, legal, and brand guidelines.
Pilots and experiments consistently translate into real production outcomes.
Creative innovation supports business needs without adding unnecessary complexity or risk.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Fine Arts, or a related field.
7+ years of professional creative experience, including hands-on application of AI-driven and/or 3D design in production environments.
Proven success integrating new technologies into creative workflows with measurable production or efficiency gains.
Strong experience with generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Sora, Firefly, Midjourney, Runway,) and 3D software (e.g., Blender, Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine).
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud.
Strong visual judgment and design sensibility across print, digital, and campaign work.
Ability to influence without authority and operate effectively in a Senior Manager–level individual contributor role.
Demonstrated leadership mindset, with the capability to help scale teams or functions over time.
Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable operating in an evolving technology landscape.
