About the Team

Within the context of the Trading Revamp, this role is especially relevant as part of the effort to modernize Trading systems, improve platform resilience and performance, and enable better client experiences in the execution of capital markets operations.

The Trading team relies on this role to guide major technical decisions, coordinate efforts across systems and teams, and ensure that GBM continues building scalable, resilient, and high-quality backend capabilities.

In a typical week you will

Activities:

Define system architecture and long-term technical direction for strategic initiatives.

Lead major modernization efforts and architectural improvements.

Design highly scalable, resilient, and high-performance systems.

Coordinate technical efforts across multiple teams or services.

Evaluate architectural patterns, technology choices, and long-term trade-offs.

Responsibilities:

Ensure stability and evolution of critical business systems.

Align technical decisions with product goals and business strategy.

Reduce systemic technical risks and drive sustainable engineering solutions.

Mentor engineers and support the development of stronger technical leadership.

Influence roadmap decisions through architecture, system knowledge, and engineering judgment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Requisites:

5–7+ years of experience in software engineering.

Deep domain knowledge in fintech, trading systems, capital markets platforms, or similarly critical environments is a plus.
