ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Software Quality Manager to lead the Quality Assurance function within our FX Engineering domain. This role is important in ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, reliable, and high‑performance matching and credit management systems. The Software Quality Manager will drive QA strategy, automation excellence, intelligent quality engineering, governance, and team capability building while working closely with multiple partners across Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Business teams.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong proven experience in FX trading, and significant experience leading all aspects of quality in critical financial environments. Knowledge and experience in NDF, Spot and Forwards trading will be considered for this role.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Quality Leadership & Governance:

• Lead the development and implementation of modern quality control frameworks aligned with organizational policies, compliance requirements, and industry standards.

• Define, communicate, and implement quality benchmarks, testing standards, and automation guidelines.

• Ensure full traceability through accurate execution, documentation, and audit‑ready reporting of all QA activities.

Test Automation & Engineering:

• Automate testing for large‑scale, business‑critical FX/NDF trading systems.

• Build and maintain robust test automation frameworks.

• Develop high‑quality automation code/scripts in Java, TypeScript, Selenium, and Playwright to validate complex trading workflows and integrations.

• Maintain and evolve automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitLab).

• Experience in usage of AI to fix test scripts, detect and monitor test flakiness and stability, insights for regression suite prioritisation.

Test Planning & Execution:

• Participate in requirements refinement to translate business needs into functional and non‑functional test scenarios.

• Build comprehensive functional test coverage using BDD (Given/When/Then).

• Review and refine NFT test cases from a quality and risk perspective.

• Maintain strong regression pass rates through automation improvements and test modernization.

• Implement automated suites and generate clear defect reports, dashboards, and trend analysis.

• Usage of AI to augment scenario modelling for system testing.

People Leadership:

• Lead and develop Analysts and Senior Analysts through mentoring, coaching, technical leadership, and structured growth plans.

• Champion a culture of quality ownership, engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Quant, DevOps, and Architecture teams to ensure high‑quality outcomes.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Core Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

• Significant QA experience including Senior QA, QA Lead, or QA Manager roles.

• Proven experience leading QA for mission‑critical financial or trading systems.

Technical Expertise:

• Strong proficiency in Java.

• Expertise in designing, scaling, and maintaining UI automation frameworks.

• Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright/Selenium for testing modern React applications.

• Experience with cross‑browser, regression, end‑to‑end, integration, GU, and system testing.

• Good understanding and hands‑on experience in REST API testing, including validation of request/response structures, payload formats, headers, authentication mechanisms, and integration flows.

• Strong skills in:

• TestNG

• Maven / Gradle

• Git (branching, PR reviews, quality gates)

• GitHub Actions / GitLab CI/CD

• Strong SQL skills.

• Strong understanding of:

• Distributed/event‑driven systems

• Messaging systems

• Network protocols

• FIX protocol testing

Domain Expertise:

• Understanding of the Electronic Trading ecosystem (FX preferred).

• Experience in FX/NDF pricing, matching workflows, connectivity, and lifecycle validation.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and participant management skills.

• Strong leadership and mentoring ability.

• Ability to drive cross‑team collaboration and influence technical decisions.
