Help build resilient platform services that power day-to-day decision-making and operations across a global investment firm. You’ll ship production-grade software, own it end-to-end, and collaborate with partners across Technology, Operations, Finance, and our investment platform to deliver secure, scalable capabilities.

You’ll design, build, and operate backend services and platform capabilities that help teams move faster with confidence. What you’ll do

• Design and build backend services and APIs that support core business workflows across the firm.

• Own work end-to-end: discovery → design → implementation → testing → deployment → monitoring.

• Raise reliability and performance through observability, automation, and pragmatic engineering practices.

• Write clean, testable code; participate in thoughtful code reviews and architectural discussions.

• Troubleshoot complex issues across services and integrations; run root-cause analysis and ship durable fixes.

• Contribute to technical direction: architecture decisions, tech debt prioritisation, and platform evolution.

🎯

Desired experience

• 3–6 years building and supporting production software (backend and/or platform engineering).

• Strong proficiency in at least one language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C#, Node.js).

• Experience designing and consuming APIs (REST and/or event-driven patterns).

• Solid knowledge of data stores (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data modelling for performance.

• Familiarity with cloud environments, CI/CD, and modern deployment approaches (containers/Kubernetes or similar).

• Comfortable with logging/metrics/tracing and production support (on-call or incident response).

• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders; ownership mindset and high standards.

Nice to have

Experience in high-availability or regulated environments; security-minded development; data pipelines/analytics platforms.
