Software Engineer Intern, Cloud Apps

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our team and help build the next generation of tools for autonomous driving. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience building fleet management products that enable our Autonomous Vehicles (AV) to operate at scale.

You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop real-world features for our Command Center, Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, and ride-hailing integrations. You will be fully embedded in the team, writing production code, participating in code reviews, and learning how distributed systems are built at a global scale.

The internship will take place in our Singapore office and we expect a full-time internship period of at least 5 months. We offer flexible working hours and allow for remote work. The candidate will however have to live in Singapore for the duration of the internship.

What will you be doing:

• Collaborate with senior engineers to design, build, and test new features for our cloud platform.

• Identify and fix bugs, refactor code, and improve test coverage to ensure system reliability.

• Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and daily stand-ups to understand the lifecycle of high-scale software.

• Help monitor production services and assist in troubleshooting issues to support our live AV fleet.

What you will be working on:

• Contributing to dispatch and ride-hailing logic.

• Assisting with integrations for partners like Uber and Lyft.

• Building services that enable audio/video communication between AVs and remote operators.

• Developing workflows to support driverless AV operations.

What we hope you’ll come with:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong foundational knowledge of data structures and algorithms, with proficiency in Golang, Python (through coursework or personal projects).

• A strong desire to learn about distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and the AV industry.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and learning new technologies quickly.

Bonus Points:

• Previous internship experience or personal projects involving web services or APIs.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Docker, or SQL/NoSQL databases.

• Interest or coursework in Robotics, IoT, or Autonomous Vehicles.
