Software Engineer (Identity)

The Engineering team builds the software powering Veriff. We're cracking the online identity crisis in a scalable way, deploying excellence to keep Veriff on the cusp of innovation. It's a fast-paced market with many challenges. We're seeking an experienced team member to join our Identity team as a Software Engineer.

As a part of our Identity team at Veriff, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our real-time Verification Platform, focusing on critical aspects like security, scalability, and maintainability. Your role is crucial in designing and developing new systems that support Veriff's vision to build trust online through a reliable and user-friendly Identity Verification Platform.

You’ll help us protect honest people online by:

• Contribute to the design, documentation, and implementation of product and system features under guidance from senior engineers.

• Build, test, and maintain automation services using Python to improve platform performance and reliability.

• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts to solve technical problems.

• Assist with cross-team collaborations, supporting alignment with dependency engineering teams and product stakeholders.

• Continuously learn and grow your technical skills while contributing to the team’s success.

You are the right future Veriffian for the job if you have

You’re a strong candidate if you have:

• 3–5 years of experience building applications with Python.

• Solid understanding of modular design and SOLID principles, particularly in distributed systems.

• Hands-on experience with APIs, message-queuing systems, and automated testing.

• Familiarity with relational databases and structured logging systems.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly with teammates.
