About the Role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our Branded Apps Team, which powers the creation, automation, and delivery of white-labeled mobile apps for thousands of businesses and creators. These apps reach over thousands of monthly active users, giving each creator a fully branded experience across the App Store and Play Store.

As a Backend Engineer, you’ll design and maintain the pipelines, tooling, and automation that enable scalable delivery of branded Flutter apps. You’ll work extensively with Fastlane, CI/CD systems, and store-release automation to speed up build times, ensure release quality, and support rapid iteration. You’ll also contribute directly to the app’s frontend, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to build features and improve performance across thousands of customized deployments.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated mobile app builds, testing, signing, and publishing to the App Store and Play Store.
Manage Fastlane workflows for code signing, environment configuration, metadata handling, and release automation at scale.
Optimize build reliability, parallelization, and caching to reduce build time and operational friction across thousands of branded apps.
Collaborate with mobile engineers to integrate new features, SDKs, and branding configurations into the shared Flutter codebase.
Build and maintain internal dashboards, scripts, and monitoring tools to track build health, release status, and deployment metrics.
Work closely with Operations to ensure release stability, compliance with store guidelines, and zero-downtime rollouts.
Contribute to frontend development using Flutter/Dart, implementing UI changes, performance optimizations, and bug fixes.
Ensure security and compliance in signing keys, API credentials, and deployment automation.
Continuously improve internal tooling, documentation, and DevOps processes to support rapid delivery and scaling.

Requirements

5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with exposure to mobile DevOps or CI/CD automation.
Proficiency in Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Shorebird, or equivalent CI/CD tools for mobile app pipelines.
Strong proficiency with Node.js/NestJS, including experience building APIs, automation tools, or analytics pipelines.
Strong experience with Flutter/Dart, including familiarity with project structures, build variants, and platform integrations.
Knowledge of App Store Connect and Google Play Console APIs, app signing, provisioning profiles, and release automation.
Experience maintaining and debugging mobile build pipelines in large-scale or white-label environments.
Familiarity with bash/shell scripting, YAML-based workflows, and environment configuration management.
Understanding of mobile app lifecycle management, release channels (beta, production), and crash/analytics monitoring.
Ability to identify and resolve performance or stability issues across build systems and app runtime.Strong collaboration skills; comfortable working cross-functionally with design, backend, and infrastructure teams.Bonus: Experience building internal tooling or developer dashboards; contributions to mobile automation or Flutter open source projects.
