This position will work hybrid, 3 days per week in our Mexico City office in Reforma.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop automated end-to-end tests for browser extension
using Playwright and other automation tools.

• Maintain automated tests, monitoring for failures, investigating root
causes, fixing failing tests, and reporting bugs

• Coordinate test creation from backlog with other Automation
Engineers

• Work with manual QA Engineer and developers to understand use
cases and edge cases required for automation.

• Maintain our CI/CD build pipelines in ADO and improvements to our
build, testing, and delivery processes.

• Using Scrum processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams (PM,
UX, Dev) to understand requirements, propose technical solutions,
and contribute to architectural decisions for our automation and build
systems.

• Implement and enforce coding best practices (linting, testing,
documentation).

• Contribute to technical documentation for internal knowledge
sharing.

• Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and bring in
improvements to the team’s stack and workflow.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging
technologies related to our core technologies

Responsibilities:

• Expert-level proficiency with Playwright and other testing tools such
as Selenium, Cypress, and Gherkin syntax. Jest, Vitest, and React
Testing Library for unit testing.

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and YAML. Experience with ADO
pipelines preferred.

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and Typescript.

• Strong understanding of modern build tools and workflows (Webpack,
Vite, Babel, npm/yarn, CI/CD pipelines).

• Strong plus: experience testing browser extensions.

• Version control proficiency.

• Strong design skills and full software development lifecycle
experience required.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and
resolve complex technical issues.

• Comfort working autonomously with minimal supervision.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to
work effectively with a globally-distributed team.

• Passionate about writing quality tests and constantly honing your
skills.

• Familiarity with web-based security principles and best practice
