Senior Trading Operations Specialist

About the Role

In addition to being one of the ten largest crypto market makers globally, we’re building an OTC trading unit to serve financial institutions, banks, and large-scale clients worldwide. We need you to help us run our Settlements team. This is a growing business and team and you will establish processes and best practices to get every dollar and token to where it belongs, on time and spot on.

What we struggle with

• We built a lot of things quickly and don’t have time to go back and improve it

• Processes lag behind trading volume

• Data breaks in odd places and weird hours

• There’s no industry playbook, most of this hasn’t been done before

What you need to succeed

• Be able to function independently

• Design processes that scale without hand-holding

• Kill bad data on sight, fix root causes, not symptoms

• Help with growing and coaching junior colleagues

• 3-7 years in settlements, finance ops, or treasury

• Crypto is a plus

• Eagle-eye for numbers

• Flexible hours: markets don’t care about your calendar, but we won’t burn you out.

What you’ll do

• Own settlements end-to-end: initiation, confirmation, funding, reconciliation.

• Set high bar for accuracy and reliability and mentor junior colleagues.

• Beat down exceptions: hunt discrepancies, close them, document lessons.

• Automate or delete pointless manual steps; work with engineers to ship fixes.
