(Senior) System Engineer (m/f/d)

Your mission:
As a Senior System Engineer, you take technical responsibility for the reliability, security, and operational effectiveness of our Linux-based on-prem infrastructure. You make well-considered architecture and technology decisions, automate recurring tasks, and establish clearly documented, understandable processes that are actually used in day-to-day operations:

• You raise quality through reviews and pairing, design and document technical solutions, and ensure well-operable systems that efficiently support the company's development
• You work conceptually on technical solutions and collaboratively design viable architectures with the team
• You are the interface between technology, departments, and stakeholders and explain complex topics in an understandable way
• A significant part of your work involves handling compliance requirements (e.g., policies, guidelines, templates). You accept and ensure that compliance requirements are an integral part of the work – even if they are not always "sexy"
• You ensure that technical solutions are implemented in a compliant, traceable, and sustainable manner

Your profile:
• You have several years of experience as a Senior Systems Engineer / Systems Administrator with a focus on Linux infrastructure
• You have already worked in medium to large companies and bring solid experience with established processes (pure startup experience is not sufficient for us)
• You are a conceptual thinker: You understand interrelations, abstract helpful concepts from tools, and help the team make sound technical decisions
• You document clearly, can coach others effectively, and work in a process-oriented way without relying on authority
• You confidently balance operations and project work based on solid project management fundamentals
