Your Role:
The Touring Department in Encino is hiring the next Senior Staff Accountant - Touring to join our dynamic group of music expert professionals. The selected candidate is a confident and professional communicator, with exceptional time management and organizational skills. You are interpersonal and believe in developing and maintaining a professional relationship with the clients; all while performing the following tasks:
What Will You Do?
Work with NKSFB Partners, Managers, Account Executives, and Assistant Account Executives on tour client accounts.
Request tour itineraries and show contracts and forward those items to appropriate Insurance Brokers and Foreign Accountants.
File all tour documents in g-drive including itineraries, show contracts, budgets, etc.
Create and/or review tour budgets.
Complete state tax mitigation applications.
Complete foreign tax mitigation applications in certain territories.
Correspond and work with Foreign Accountants to ensure they have all required paperwork and information to file the tax mitigation applications in certain territories.
Prepare application Form 8802 and Form 8821 requesting Form 6166 and a letter of US residency certificate.
Prepare State tax waivers as needed.
Prepare required Canadian forms when applicable.
Prepare CWA budget, end of tour reporting, and provide required information to tax department when applicable.
Ensure insurance certificates are provided by our insurance brokers to the various vendors/promoters.
Procure Non-Appearance quotes and present them to management.
Review vendor contracts and any changes requested by Insurance and Legal Professionals and ensure changes are completed with vendors.
Record show settlements in Agilink system.
Review and reconcile show settlements.
Understanding of advance recoupment deal structures.
Code income received from Promoters and Agents in accordance with department procedures.
Track show income from Promoters and Agents while reconciling Accounts.
Communicate with Promoters and Agents regarding missing income and tax certificates.
Track tax certificates.
Correspond via e-mail or telephone with agents or tax offices regarding missing tax certificates.
Prepare budget vs. actual and research discrepancies.
Prepare merchandise reconciliations.
Prepare meeting packages and ensure the accuracy of the budget vs. actual vs. the profit and loss and general ledgers.
Create commission schedules when applicable.
Prepare and invoice for front-end tour support from the record label.
Prepare label bill backs for tours on support and promotional events.
Provide all reporting and related backup to our Australian, Canadian, and French accountants in order for them to file the tax returns.
Prepare 360 label reporting when applicable.
Communicate with client’s team including Managers, Tour staff, Agents, etc.
What Do you Need to Succeed:
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
Self-motivated with excellent organization skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills a must
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is an asset
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to work well with a team and pitch in when needed
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience Required
Prior bookkeeping experience helpful
Prior tour experience helpful
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Occasional standing, walking, crouching, and light lifting up to 15 pounds
Frequent use of hands and reaching with hands and arms
Regular talking, hearing, seeing, and sitting
Moderate to the loud noise level
Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications
