The team you will join: Alpine Money Movement

The Alpine Money Movement team is a brand new, high-impact crew focused on delivering the quickest, most convenient, and cheapest money transfers across Switzerland and the Nordic region.

Our Focus & Impact:

Building Direct Access: We work on new direct integrations with local payment systems. Your focus will be on launching high-impact direct access first for Swiss Franc (CHF) and Swedish Krona (SEK).

Operational Excellence: Maintain, scale, and optimise existing infrastructure. You'll work to constantly reduce risk and improve system resilience, collaborating with operations and banking teams to drive efficiency and low costs.

Global Relocator Experience: Contribute to the company's worldwide mission of building the #1 account for international relocators. We build features that make the financial transition to any new country seamless for customers globally.

If you're driven by mission, ownership, and engineering excellence in a high-stakes domain, we want to hear from you.

What does it take?  

• 5+ years of experience Java, Kotlin or other JVM based language, experience with Spring framework and deep understanding of JDBC and database internals

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Distributed and Concurrent Systems

• A strong product mindset and passion for user experience, you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points

• Being able to work independently on customer problems is a key to success - you take responsibility and end-to-end ownership of your projects: drive and own them to make sure we hit the goals we want to achieve

• Close collaboration with product managers, data scientists, data analysts, engineers and other product teams is a must have and is something to expect to happen on a daily basis.

• Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audience

• Experience working with relational, query optimisation and designing schemas

• You enjoy writing testable code 

• You believe in and follow best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback.
