Senior SDET

Are you passionate about quality, automation, and building frameworks from scratch At Encora, we are looking for a Senior SDET  to join a highly skilled and agile engineering team. 

You will play a key role in ensuring product quality, improving automation, and strengthening our CI systems, with direct impact on  product stability and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Debug software products using systematic testing to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards.

• Develop, modify, and execute software test plans, automated scripts, and testing programs.

• Contribute to existing automation tools by adding enhancements and improving maintainability.

• Maintain test result documentation to support debugging and software modifications.

• Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective actions.

• Collaborate with development engineers to resolve technical issues.

• Provide feedback for technical evaluations of programming languages, systems, and computation software.

• Ensure quality integration across scientific computation, data acquisition, and data processing systems.

• Maintain and improve automated testing and continuous integration systems.

• Collaborate with security and software engineering teams to develop system-level testing.

• Interface with sales teams and customers to recreate, diagnose, and help resolve field issues.

• Learn and adopt new technologies as needed to build tools and improve efficiency and productivity.

Here’s what you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, including:

• At least 3 years as an SDET.

• At least 2 years developing with JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Experience building internal tools to improve developer experience and productivity.

• Excellent debugging skills, especially in multi-tier web architectures.

• Ability to adapt and work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.

• Comfort writing and reading code, with a basic understanding of data structures.

• Hands-on experience designing and developing automation frameworks from scratch.

• Experience writing backend integration tests for RESTful APIs.

• Frontend test automation expertise using TestCafe, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools (Playwright is preferred).

• Experience using BDD tools such as Cucumber integrated with automation frameworks.

• CI tooling experience with GitHub Actions or similar tools.

• Strong understanding of source control and release management in testing contexts (Git).

• Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies (Docker).

• Understanding of Lean and Agile methodologies.

• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Experience analyzing logs using Splunk and/or GCP.

Nice to have:

• Experience testing cloud-based products or applications.

• Knowledge and understanding of different types of VPNs.

• Experience with load and performance testing.
