What awaits you at Mynaric:
• Support multi-disciplinary team of design and systems engineers by providing radiation test and analysis results, modeling and analysis reports, and recommendations for mitigating radiation effects.
• Support sales engineering by providing advice on requirements flow down and providing analysis for contract negotiations.
• Coordinate, prepare, supervise, and execute component and system level radiation tests (TID, Proton, Heavy Ion, etc.) at a range of facilities in the EU and US.
• Coordinate radiation test facility bookings according to project needs, priorities, test plan, and technical complexity.
• Participate in program PDRs and CDRs, and other reviews as required to assess radiation requirements and compliance.
• Perform system and electronic board design reviews of complex and cutting edge opto-mechanical assemblies.
• Participate in project design review and technical proposals for state of the art technologies.
• Compile and manage documentation and test reports for a wide array of EEE and opto-electrical components.
What you bring with you:
• Masters degree or higher in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or other related degree.
• 5+ years of professional experience in the radiation effects field
• Experience in radiation effect modeling and analysis via industry standard simulation tools (OMERE, FASTRAD, CREME96, NOVICE, etc.)
• Experience in designing and executing test procedures in compliance with radiation effects testing requirements (MIL-STD-750, MIL-STD-883, ESCC 22900, ESCC 25100, MIL-HDBK-814, etc.)
• Proficiency in generating test procedures and post processing data analysis (MATLAB, Excel, etc.) to fully documents test results.
• Willingness to travel to support test campaigns
Preferred Qualifications
• Proficiency in automation of data acquisition and lab equipment (Python, Java Script, etc.)
• Experience in the unique effects of radiation of optics and photovoltaics induced by the space radiation environment
• Experience in classifying or qualifying parts as COTS+, Class 3, Class 2, and Class 1 mission requirements per EEE NASA standards.
