Role: Senior Network Engineer

Position Type: Permanent
Location: Hyderabad / Bangalore (Work from office)

PRIMARY DUTIES include but not limited to:

Implementation Triage & Technical Escalation

• Serve as the lead escalation point for complex deployment issues during the Cisco‑to‑Fortinet/Juniper migration.

• Troubleshoot advanced problems involving Fortinet firewalls, Juniper switches, Juniper access points, and legacy Cisco devices during cutovers.

• Support field technicians and implementation teams with real‑time guidance, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Change Control & Governance (ServiceNow)

• Own the full lifecycle of network‑related change controls within ServiceNow.

• Create and review change requests with a focus on accuracy, risk mitigation, and compliance.

• Maintain high standards of operational discipline and audit readiness.

Network Engineering & Migration Execution

• Lead configuration, deployment, and optimization of:

• Fortinet firewalls (policies, VPNs, SD‑WAN, HA, segmentation).

• Juniper switches (EX/QFX series, VLANs, routing, security policies).

• Juniper access points and wireless controllers.

• Oversee migration activities including device staging, configuration validation, cutover support, and post‑deployment tuning.

• Ensure consistent application of templates, standards, and best practices across all branch refresh activities.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain detailed documentation of network designs, migration procedures, and configuration standards.

• Identify recurring issues and drive long‑term improvements to deployment processes and network architecture.

• Contribute to playbooks, runbooks, and knowledge‑sharing materials for engineering and field teams

COMPETENCIES:

• Industry certifications such as Fortinet NSE, Juniper JNCIS/JNCIP, or equivalent.

• Experience with large‑scale network refresh or transformation programs.

• Familiarity with automation tools (Python, Ansible) for configuration and operational tasks.

• Knowledge of SD‑WAN, Zero Trust, or cloud‑integrated network architectures.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to lead under pressure and make sound technical decisions.

• Collaborative mindset with a focus on mentoring and team development.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Extensive hands‑on experience with Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer).

• Strong expertise with Juniper switches and Juniper wireless solutions.

• Solid understanding of Cisco networking to support migration and troubleshooting during the transition.

• Proven experience managing change controls in ServiceNow.

• Strong troubleshooting skills across routing, switching, wireless, and security domains.

• Ability to lead technical triage in fast‑paced, multi‑site deployment environments.
