To drive our Digital Business Partner” vision, our AI team focuses on leveraging AI across all areas of our platform. We are now looking for a Senior Middleware Engineer AI (m/f/d) to help shape the future of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) through modern AI capabilities.

Your Responsibilities:
As a Senior Middleware Engineer AI, you will be a key technical leader responsible for the architecture, development, and integration of robust middleware solutions that connect and optimize our AI/ML services within the Jedox platform. 

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless, secure, and high-performance communication between data pipelines, AI services, and core platform components. Your expertise will help transform raw data and AI outputs into accessible, actionable insights for our customers, supporting both operational excellence and innovation. 

What You’ll Do: 
• Design and develop middleware: Build and maintain scalable middleware components that integrate AI/ML services with core platform modules, ensuring reliability, security, and high performance. Architect and optimize communication protocols and APIs between data pipelines, AI/ML services, and user-facing applications.
• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Cloud teams to deliver robust, end-to-end AI-driven solutions.
• Automate and monitor: Implement automation and observability for middleware components, supporting continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) and real-time monitoring.
• Ensure security and compliance: Maintain adherence to security protocols and regulatory requirements across all middleware and integration layers.
• Mentor and inspire: Guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing. 
• Innovate and evolve: Stay current with AI/ML and middleware technologies, advocating for the adoption of impactful innovations and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement: Refine middleware architectural standards and integration frameworks to enhance performance and scalability.

Your Profile:
• 8+ years of experience in middleware engineering, software engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on AI/ML system integration.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing robust, production-ready middleware architectures (including API gateways, message brokers, and service meshes).
• Experience with data pipeline orchestration (e.g., Airflow), big data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Kafka), and integration of AI/ML services.
• Proficient in Python and familiar with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of security best practices and regulatory requirements for middleware and data integration.
• Proficient working in agile environments and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Passion for mentoring and driving technical innovation in AI/ML middleware solutions.
