Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated individual with extensive automation experience. We are willing to train, but it would have to be a highly motivated person with the following background. The right individual would be a self-starter who has a thorough understanding of computer systems and hardware. Operational experience is a must and many of our most successful analysts have had prior Systems Programmer experience. Those who thrive on focusing their attention on detail, who have any coding experience, and who are logical thinkers would do well in this role. Only team players need apply. Job Responsibilities:

The Mainframe Systems Programmer provides Automation support for on-going projects that require the installation, testing, and implementation of new OPSMVS or IBM SA programs.

Also, the Maintenance and debugging of systems software. Functional knowledge, use of z/OS components and knowledge of support products such as tape management, scheduling, security, monitoring systems, etc.

Mandatory Skills

• 5– 10 years’ experience working with CA-OPS/MVS with MSF and SSM, IBM System Automation for z/OS, BMC Products, CA-Automation Point, Sysview and IBM Tivoli AFOPER.

• Experience in IBM NETVIEW.

• Proficient in coding OPS/REXX and utilizing Classic REXX

• In-depth experience with OPS/MVS functionality, design, integration, and implementation.

• Understanding of SSMGA functionality and implementation.

• Knowledge of configuration of z/OS operating system and significant subsystems.

• Knowledge of zOS Upgrades (Installation, maintaining, and implementation of z/OS and ISV software.)

• Demonstrated experience with Disaster Recovery (backup and restore, DR plan creation and maintenance).

• Experienced with the standard MVS tools: TSO/ISPF, JCL, IBM Utilities, VSAM Utilities, SDSF, etc.

• Monitoring tools familiarity and experience: Examples - Sysview, Omegamon, Mainview.

• Experience on incident/problem debugging in system dumps.

• Ticketing tool familiarity (Service Manager, ServiceNow).

• Ability to communicate both internally with team and leadership.

• Should be confident enough to communicate with client and demonstrate his/her technical expertise

• Ability to work in a multi- technology environment with the ability to diagnose complex technical problems to their root cause. In addition to troubleshooting skills and consulting skills.

• Good problem-solving skills.

• Must be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision.

• Proven experience in leading conversions to strategic tools.

• Ability to learn and pick up newer skills
