Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Build the data systems behind a category-leading marketing intelligence platform trusted by 800+ companies, where multi-touch attribution and media mix modeling run on first-party data and high-throughput integrations.

Our client is building a high-scale data and analytics platform used by sophisticated teams to make critical business decisions. The product is fundamentally data-driven: large volumes of data ingestion, processing, aggregation, and serving — all backed by a reliable, secure, and observable cloud infrastructure.

They are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to help design, operate, and evolve a scalable, reliable platform. This is a hands-on role with broad ownership across infrastructure, automation, security, and observability.

You’ll work closely with a small, experienced engineering team in an environment where infrastructure quality directly impacts the product.

What you’ll work on
Infrastructure ownership spans the full lifecycle of a modern cloud platform, including:
- Infrastructure as Code and cloud architecture.
- CI/CD pipelines and developer infrastructure.
- Security, access controls, and audit readiness.
- Disaster recovery planning and operational resilience.
- Observability, alerting, and on-call reliability.
- Capacity planning, performance optimization, and cloud cost management.
- SSL, DNS, and core networking services.

Responsibilities will evolve as the platform scales, and you’ll have meaningful input into both technical direction and operational standards.

Day-to-day responsibilities
- Audit and optimize cloud usage, capacity, and spend.
- Improve reliability through better automation, monitoring, and alerting.
- Partner with engineers to upgrade infrastructure components and roll out changes safely.
- Reduce operational noise by identifying root causes and improving system signals.
- Strengthen security posture through patching, testing, and compliance support.
- Build and maintain automation for provisioning, access, CI pipelines, and environments.
- Document systems and practices clearly for engineers and stakeholders.

Required experience
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP (or another major cloud provider).
- Proven background in infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
- Experience supporting security programs and audits for production systems.
- Proficiency with scripting and automation (Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog).
- Experience handling on-call responsibilities and production incidents.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and data teams.
- Clear technical documentation skills.

Nice to have
- Experience in data-heavy products (analytics, marketing tech, e-commerce, ad-tech).
- Basic familiarity with SQL and ETL workflows.
- Exposure to database administration and automation (backups, replication, access management).
