Senior Infrastructure Engineer (REF07)

A Senior Infrastructure Engineer based in Kuala Lumpur is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining an organization’s technology infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and performance. This role involves managing and supporting IT infrastructure equipment, software, and configurations, while also contributing to the definition and implementation of security controls and cybersecurity best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
Design, implement, and maintain complex technology infrastructure, including network, server, storage, and cloud environments.
• System Management and Support:
Manage and support the maintenance of IT infrastructure equipment, software, and configurations to ensure smooth operations.
• Security and Compliance:
Define, validate, and implement security controls and cybersecurity best practices.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
Monitor system performance, ensure reliability, and optimize infrastructure for efficient operation.
• Project Management:
Lead infrastructure projects such as upgrades, migrations, and new implementations, particularly within cloud environments.
• Automation and DevOps:
Leverage DevOps tools and automation to manage infrastructure and build scalable, secure systems.
• Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontline support and backend infrastructure teams.

Requirements:
Technical Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of networking, server administration, storage solutions, cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and virtualization technologies.

Infrastructure Management Tools:
Proficient in using infrastructure management and automation platforms for efficient system operations.

Security Knowledge:
Strong understanding of security principles, best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
Skilled in troubleshooting complex technical issues and performing root cause analysis.

Communication and Collaboration:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
