Role SummaryThe Senior Group Manager – FinOps will provide strategic and operational leadership to multiple, complex Finance & Accounting (F&A) processes, including Record to Report (R2R), Banking Operations, FP&A, Group Reporting, RI Accounting, Accruals, and associated control frameworks. The role requires strong domain expertise, a transformational mindset, and the ability to drive excellence across diverse FinOps teams.________________________________________Key Responsibilities1. Operational Leadership & Delivery Excellence• Lead end to end F&A operations across multiple towers including R2R, RI Accounting, Banking, Accruals, Month-End Close, BSA.• Ensure 100% adherence to client SLAs, KPIs, compliance standards, and process governance.• Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, automation, and transformation initiatives across FinOps processes.• Ensure accurate, timely reconciliations, general accounting controls, cash management, treasury support, and banking operations oversight.2. Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management• Serve as the primary senior interface for executive level client stakeholders, including CFO-level counterparts.• Build, strengthen, and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with global clients.• Guide delivery teams to align operating practices with agreed service standards and performance commitments.3. Business & P&L Leadership• Manage the vertical as an independent business unit—owning P&L, growth, cost optimization, resource planning, and delivery governance.• Support expansion opportunities through cross sell and up sell in partnership with Business Development and Transformation teams.• Provide strategic input to HQ on diversification, expansion, and new service offerings.4. Quality, Risk & Compliance• Lead implementation of quality frameworks such as ISO, COPC, internal controls, and audit requirements.• Oversee development and enforcement of a robust Risk & Controls Framework for all FinOps operations.• Ensure compliance with SOX, statutory requirements, and client-specific governance.5. People Leadership & Capability Building• Lead large, diverse teams with strong focus on capability development, coaching, and succession planning.• Oversee training needs analysis for all functional leads and ensure skill readiness for current and future business demands.• Drive high-performance culture through recognition, empowerment, accountability, and alignment to organizational values.6. Transformation & Strategic Initiatives• Drive and execute transformation, automation, and process re engineering projects (RPA, AI/ML, analytics, workflow solutions).• Champion digital initiatives to increase productivity, accuracy, and client value.• Integrate strong commercial and data driven insights into operational and strategic decision-making.________________________________________Core Competencies & Skills• Deep expertise in F&A domain, including R2R, Banking Processes, FP&A, Reporting, Treasury & Controls.• Excellent communication, executive presence, and strong client management skills.• Proven ability to lead large global teams in high-pressure environments.• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing vertical P&L.• Ability to multi-task, influence at all levels, and execute complex programs.• Strong analytical and conceptual problem solving skills.• Flexibility to work in shifts and willingness to travel.• Strong coordination and program management skills to interface with cross-functional teams._
• Qualified accountant (CA/CMA/CPA) or Post Graduate in Finance.• 15+ years of experience in F&A Operations with at least 5–7 years in leadership roles managing large financial operations teams.• Experience working with leading ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Workday, MS Dynamics).• Demonstrated experience in Transformation, R2R operations, Treasury/Banking operations, and Risk & Controls.• Prior experience in Financial Services or global shared services is preferred.
