Senior Financial Data Analyst & Controller (m/f/d)

What we look for::
• You design, develop, and take ownership of data-driven reports and dashboards in Power BI, translating complex topics into clear, decision-relevant insights.
• You break down data silos by integrating and modeling data from multiple systems using SQL, making it accessible for scalable and robust analysis.
• You act as a sparring partner for Controlling, supporting the analysis, interpretation, and continuous development of financial and performance metrics.
• You support month-end and quarter-end closing processes with in-depth analyses, ensuring transparency and deriving actionable insights.
• You actively drive budgeting and forecasting processes by delivering precise data analyses, scenario modeling, and solid decision-making foundations.
• You define and refine KPIs, further develop reporting standards, and ensure continuous improvement of data quality and consistency.
• You proactively contribute ideas to optimize processes, leverage automation potential, and strategically advance the use of BI tools within Controlling.
• You collaborate closely with business units, IT, and management to enable and embed data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• You challenge existing processes, identify efficiency gains, and independently implement improvements, particularly through automation.

What we require::
• You hold a degree with excellent academic results in Business Informatics, IT, Finance, Data Analytics, or a comparable field.
• You bring several years of relevant professional experience in Controlling, Data Analytics, or a similar role—ideally within a dynamic, data-driven environment.
• You are highly proficient in Power BI and have strong expertise in SQL (including complex queries, joins, and data modeling). Additionally, you have extensive experience with Power Query, Excel (including advanced analytics, pivot models, and formulas), and ideally other BI and ETL tools.
• You have a strong affinity for numbers, excellent analytical skills, and a high level of attention to detail. You are able to translate complex data into clear insights and derive actionable recommendations.
• You take a proactive approach, assume ownership of your topics, and drive them forward independently. You are solution-oriented and confident working both autonomously and collaboratively, including in cross-functional stakeholder environments.
• You are fluent in English; additional local language skills are a plus.
