Senior DevOps Engineer

Scopely is seeking a highly motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Playgami team in Barcelona on a hybrid basis!

Playgami is building the best SaaS gaming platform ever! The team strives to build the world’s best products for game production, operation, and insights. Powering many award-winning, loved-by-millions franchise games over mobile, web, and PC.

Your role in the Playgami platform:

• Contribute to a platform foundations roadmap to continuously improve our cloud platform infrastructure and processes.

• Provide tooling and products to standardize and ease the development and monitoring of scalable, reliable and secure production systems.

• Work together with several engineering teams to define and implement improvements to our overall infrastructure, including execution engine (Kubernetes), automation and building infrastructure, deployment systems and underlying AWS and GCP configuration.

• Build core software artifacts, leveraged by multiple teams, to support the evolution of the Playgami software platform.

• Contribute to a platform culture that encourages team autonomy but also values impact above organization boundaries.

• Take responsibility for the quality of what the team creates, helping to establish good practices.

• Work in an agile environment where your opinions matter.

Your skills:

• Team player with excellent communication skills and strong sense of ownership

• Product Engineering mindset

• Hands-on experience and understanding of AWS or Google Cloud Platform services

• Strong understanding of software development processes and CI/CD pipelines

• High-quality and maintainable code writing and focus on automation

• Strong computer science and engineering fundamentals

• Experience designing and building reliable and fault tolerant, yet simple and easy to operate applications and systems

• Experience working closely with end users and customers (mostly engineers) to build infrastructure and platform capabilities that are adapted to their needs

• Fluency and professional command of English

• Always looking further to keep improving your skills

Bonus:

• Containers and Kubernetes cluster management experience

• Expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools, e.g., Terraform.

• Proficiency in an object oriented language

• Application deployment and monitoring tools (ArgoCD, Datadog, etc.)

• Site Reliability knowledge and experience managing highly available services
