Our AI Development department serves as a facilitator for Data & AI transformation. We are taking a holistic approach, from the initial evaluation of AI maturity, through the design and development of data and AI solutions, to the practical implementation and scaling of AI solutions. Through our deep expertise in Data Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, we ensure that our clients gain the maximum value from their data.

Your tasks:
• As part of customer projects, you design Generative AI and NLP systems that effectively address customer challenges and use cases in terms of performance, latency, cost, scalability, and complexity
• You regularly engage with various stakeholders and customer representatives, ensuring close collaboration and alignment
• You act as a developer, expert, or technical lead and work on diverse use cases, such as knowledge management with retrieval-augmented chatbots, implementing agent systems, or fine-tuning language models to enhance the efficiency of an NLP pipeline or process domain-specific language
• You will guide as a Technical Lead less experienced team members, support their work, and provide constructive feedback and mentorship
• You will contribute as an expert to multiple projects as needed to solve complex problems
• You plan and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance ML pipelines following the latest ML Ops and LLM-Ops best practices, working across various infrastructures, including Azure, AWS, and GCP
• You support the development of products, contribute to expanding our service portfolio, and assist in creating marketing content
• You present solution proposals and handle technical communication with customer representatives during the acquisition process
• You dedicated time to follow the latest developments in the field of NLP and AI (e.g., on repositories, methods, tools, papers) and stay up to date in order to offer the best solutions to our customers

Your profile:
• You have extensive knowledge in Machine Learning and Deep Learning, especially with respect to Transformers, Large Language Models, and Generative AI, as well as solid experience with production-grade ML frameworks such as PyTorch
• You bring several years of experience applying common tools and methods for NLP use cases, including LLM APIs (OpenAI Responses API, Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry), frameworks such as Instructor, LangChain and LangGraph, Hugging Face Transformers and Tokenizers, vector databases, high-performance inference, model deployment, MCP/A2A, and dataset creation
• You have hands-on experience using agent frameworks in production environments, such as LangGraph, SmolAgents, OpenAI Agent SDK, CrewAI, or PydanticAI, and are familiar with typical LLM-based workflows including conversational AI, RAG, information extraction, tool calling, and LLM-based evaluation
• You have acquired strong knowledge and ideally practical experience with state-of-the-art approaches such as agentic RAG, GraphRAG, multi-agent workflows, text-to-SQL, and code retrieval
• You have experience with PEFT techniques such as QLoRA, instruction fine-tuning, post-training, inference-time optimization, embeddings, and a strong foundational understanding of frameworks such as PyTorch
• You are able to write clean, performant, and extensible code and successfully bring AI systems into production
• You have experience with cloud-based deployments and MLOps workflows on platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS
• You provide technical guidance and leadership, including mentoring and supporting less experienced team members
• You are a strong communicator with very good German and English skills at least at C1 level and are able to prepare and present complex topics appropriately for both technical and business audiences
• You stand out through reliability, thoroughness, and a structured approach to your work
• You enjoy occasional business trips to visit customers on site in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
