This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and integrity of the company’s accounting and financial information. 📚

It sits within the Finance department and acts as a key guardian of financial data. We are looking for a  professional with a strong analytical mindset who enjoys managing month-end closures, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating on budgeting processes to drive business efficiency. 🔧💬

💼 As a senior controller, you will be the owner of:

• End-to-End Accounting Management: Coordinate and execute the full monthly closure process, ensuring all journal entries, accruals, payroll records, and fixed assets are recorded accurately and within established deadlines.

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare comprehensive monthly reports and reconciliation templates for the group, providing high-quality data on cash flow, accounts receivable, and overall financial performance.

• Audit & Compliance Lead: Act as an internal auditor to ensure data consistency and proactively support the Finance Manager during external audits by preparing all necessary documentation and justifications.

• Budgetary Control & Variance Analysis: Participate in the preparation of quarterly budgets and forecasts, conducting detailed monthly analysis to justify deviations and identify opportunities for financial optimization.

• Process Consulting & Optimization: Act as a consultant for local functions (R2R, O2C, P2P), forecasting costs and supporting projects that impact general financial information to ensure global alignment.

• Strategic Collaboration & Automation: Partner with cross-functional teams like BI, HR, and Sales Ops to drive internal process improvements, leveraging technology and automation to deliver superior insights to the business.

Are you the person we are looking for? ✨

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

• +3 years of experience in Business controller roles

• +2  years of experience in a final company (SaaS environment is highly preferred). 

• 1 to 3 years of experience in Audit is a plus (Big 4 experience is a significant advantage).

• Experience using Netsuite will be a plus.

• Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace (specifically Google Sheets) and a "data geek" mindset for complex analysis.

• Fluent Spanish and advanced English are required to work across local and global teams.

• Proactive problem-solver with a fast learning curve, comfortable in changing environments, and able to work with diverse cultures and technical teams.

• Location: Based in Barcelona or surroundings, with a requirement to be in the office at least one day per week.
