Senior Backend Developer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong technical leadership skills to help shape and evolve our backend platform. You will act as a technical reference for the team, take ownership of backend architecture, improve code quality and engineering standards, and help drive a more mature, engineering‑focused culture.

You will work on a SaaS platform built on .NET 10, running primarily on Azure PaaS, in an international, English-speaking environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve scalable, secure, and maintainable backend systems.
• Lead backend development efforts, driving technical design and architectural decisions.
• Be a technical reference for the team also support and mentor other engineers
• Own the full software lifecycle—from concept and design to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Work across modern and legacy systems
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Champion engineering excellence by promoting best practices (Clean Code, SOLID, testing strategies).
• Architect and implement distributed systems and event-driven solutions.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable delivery.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and observability in production environments.
• Mentor and support other developers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.
• Contribute to technical documentation and ensure knowledge is shared effectively across the team.

• 7+ years of experience in backend development, primarily with .NET / C#.
• Strong experience designing scalable and maintainable systems.
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles (Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), unit/integration testing).
• Hands-on experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Solid experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and ORM tools such as Entity Framework Core.
• Experience with distributed or service-oriented architectures.
• Experience integrating authentication and authorization solutions (e.g., Auth0)
• Strong knowledge of asynchronous communication patterns and messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, Service Bus).
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Azure Functions, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Storage, and Azure AI Search
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability in production systems
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments
• Prior experience in technical leadership or tech lead capacity
