Senior Backend Developer

ABOUT YOU:

We are searching for a Backend Developer who will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and resilient backend systems using modern cloud-native technologies.

Are you someone who is passionate about backend architecture, cloud platforms, and building serverless APIs that scale? We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced developer (4+ years) with a deep understanding of distributed systems and a proactive mindset.

In this role, you’ll help shape backend services that ensure real-time communication, data consistency, and seamless integrations—focusing on performance, reliability, and clean architecture. The first three months will require full-time office presence, after which the position will allow for a flexible schedule with 2-3 days per week in the office.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL::
• Design, build, test, and maintain cloud-native backend services, primarily in a serverless architecture on AWS.
• Develop robust and scalable APIs using Node.js, integrating with both SQL databases and third-party services.
• Implement and manage real-time features using WebSockets.
• Maintain high standards around performance, observability, security, and fault tolerance.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful product features.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to strategic technical decisions.
• Apply best practices for CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and software delivery.

YOU ARE A GREAT FIT IF YOU BRING THE FOLLOWING::
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, etc.)
• Node.js in a production environment
• Serverless architecture & frameworks
• SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• WebSockets for real-time features
• Solid understanding of software architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience working in Agile teams and familiarity with DevOps practices.
• A problem-solving mindset and a drive for continuous improvement.
• Professional English level, strong verbal and written communication skills.
