Senior Analyst, Risk Management

Overview:

The Mastercard Risk Analytics, Technology, and Innovation Team partners across Risk, Compliance, Enterprise Risk, Tech Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk, and Strategic Risk to drive transformation through data and technology.
We design and deliver data analytics, automation, workflows, case management, reporting, and AI-enabled solutions that improve insight, efficiency, and risk outcomes across Mastercard Risk.

We are seeking a Senior Analyst who is excited to learn Risk end-to-end while building scalable, data-driven solutions that make a measurable impact.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Analyst on the Risk Analytics, Technology, and Innovation team, you will help operate, enhance, and scale Mastercard Risk’s Risk Appetite Metrics Platform, an internally built solution used enterprise-wide to capture, manage, and report risk appetite metrics.

You will combine platform ownership, analytics, automation, and stakeholder partnership to ensure the platform remains effective, scalable, and aligned to evolving reporting needs. This includes platform administration, reporting enhancements, user training and support, and deriving insights from metric submission data.

Beyond the platform, you will play a hands-on role in building analytics, automation, and innovation solutions that drive Risk transformation. You will work directly with Risk teams to understand business processes, risks, controls, and pain points, then design and deliver technology-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and generate insight.

This role uniquely blends operations, data, and technology—requiring curiosity about Risk and a passion for using analytics, automation, and AI to solve real problems at scale.

About You:

You are a strong problem-solver who thrives in complex, ambiguous environments and enjoys turning messy problems into clear, scalable solutions. You:

• Quickly synthesize information, identify gaps, and build end-to-end understanding of processes, risks, and controls
• Think creatively and analytically, evaluating multiple solution paths and recommending the best approach
• Design bold, reusable solutions that scale beyond a single use case
• Act as a bridge between business and technology, translating needs and constraints across stakeholders
You bring strong technical capability, including:
• Deep expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint Lists)
• Comfort working AI-first, including identifying and implementing generative AI use cases and building agents with Microsoft Copilot Studio
• Experience using tools such as Alteryx, Power Query, and Python to extract, transform, analyze, and present data
• Ability to assess data quality, surface issues, and recommend improvements

You are also able to:

• Interview stakeholders, document processes, and identify inefficiencies and control gaps
• Develop meaningful risk and performance metrics and present them through clear, compelling visuals
• Communicate and present your work effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Quantify the impact of your work (time saved, cost saved, risk reduced, control strengthened)
• Manage multiple priorities with strong organization, judgment, and attention to detail

Experience or interest in Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, and GRC platforms is strongly preferred.
