Senior Active Directory Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Support and contribute to Active Directory design, upgrades, and troubleshooting activities in complex enterprise environments

• Drive migration of legacy Citrix systems to modern cloud or hybrid platforms, with strong consideration of AD dependencies and integrations

Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, with a primary focus on Active Directory-related problems (authentication, GPOs, replication, DNS dependencies)

• Optimize performance, user experience, and resource utilisation across AD-integrated systems and Citrix platforms

• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning, especially for Active Directory and its dependent services

• Participate in structured decommissioning of legacy systems, ensuring clean separation from AD where required

• Maintain accurate technical documentation (architecture diagrams, configurations, runbooks), particularly around AD structure and integrations

• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure stable and secure service delivery

• Participate in governance, reporting, SLA tracking, and service reviews

• Work with vendors and third-party support providers when required

• Mentor L2 analysts and junior engineers, especially in Active Directory troubleshooting and best practices

Drive continuous improvement and automation in operational processes

Manage Citrix Cloud environments (Delivery Groups, Machine Catalogs, policies, VDA image lifecycle)

Requirements:
• Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory, focusing on troubleshooting, upgrades, and design-level understanding

• Solid knowledge of AD core services (authentication flows, Group Policy, DNS, replication, trusts)

• Experience working in enterprise and hybrid AD environments

• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex AD-related issues impacting infrastructure and applications

• Experience with AD upgrade, consolidation, or migration projects

• Working knowledge of Citrix environments (Citrix Cloud experience is an advantage, but not the primary focus)

• Experience with hybrid infrastructure environments

• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills

• Familiarity with disaster recovery planning for AD-dependent systems

• Understanding of structured migration and decommissioning practices

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
