Job Description
Are you an early-career cybersecurity professional ready to take the next step into a hands-on, high-impact role?
At Orion Health, we’re growing our global Security Operations capability as we scale. This is an opportunity to build on your existing experience, working with modern security tools, real-world threats, and a collaborative team protecting critical healthcare systems.
About the Role
As a Security Operations Analyst, you’ll play a key role in monitoring and maintaining our security tooling, triaging alerts, and supporting incident response across our global environment.
You’ll be working with a modern security stack including platforms such as CrowdStrike and Wiz, and other emerging tools, particularly those that allow us to defend against AI-driven threats.
This role is well-suited to someone who already has foundational experience in IT or security and is looking to deepen their technical capability within a mature, fast-evolving security function.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Monitoring, investigating and triaging security alerts and incidents across our global environment
• Performing initial analysis and escalation of security events, supporting broader incident response efforts
• Working with security platforms to maintain visibility of threats
• Assisting in improving operational security processes, including identifying opportunities for automation.
• Supporting the ongoing effectiveness of security controls, tooling, and configurations
• Leveraging AI Platforms for leading players in this space to supercharge our defence and response processes.
• Collaborating closely with Security, IT, AI, Development, and regional Product teams across multiple regions.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll bring some hands-on experience in a technical environment and be ready to step into a more security-focused role.
We’re particularly interested in candidates who have:
• 1 - 3 years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, or a related technical role (e.g. SOC Analyst, Helpdesk / IT Support with security exposure, or similar)
• Exposure to security tooling (e.g. EDR)
• Experience triaging alerts, investigating issues, or supporting incident response
• A basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and/or cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively
• An interest in AI capabilities from an attack and defence perspective.
And even better if you have:
• Experience working in a SOC or security operations environment
• Exposure to scripting or automation
• Security certifications (e.g. Security+)
What’s in it for you?
• Build on real experience by stepping beyond entry-level and take ownership of alert triage and investigations
• Modern security environment. Work with leading tools and emerging AI-driven security platforms
• Global exposure by being part of a global SOC, gaining visibility across multiple regions
• Strong team support. Collaborate with experienced security professionals while continuing to grow your capability
• Meaningful work. Help protect sensitive healthcare data used around the world
• Health insurance on us, thanks to our partnership with Southern Cross.
• Summer Recharge. We gift our people 2 extra paid days off, thoughtfully scheduled to extend long weekends and support rest and balance.
• LeavePlus, offering additional paid time off for those important life moments (eligibility rules apply).
• A relaxed, open-plan office with great energy and fun extras - pool tables, foosball, table tennis, arcade games, and more.
• Hybrid working and flexibility to design a workday that works for you, your team, and the business.
• Free daily breakfast and fruit, a barista-grade coffee machine, and an onsite cafe.
