What you’ll own as SDE III at Hevo:
• Design and build highly maintainable SaaS connectors for 100+ applications, deeply understanding SaaS app nuances like authentication flows (OAuth, JWT) and data schemas .
• Lead development of scalable REST API layers for efficient customer consumption, optimizing integrations for performance, versioning, rate limiting, and security.
• Excel as an individual contributor: identify/resolve performance bottlenecks in data pipelines, ensure high availability for enterprise scale integrations.
• Improve code quality, system architecture, and product reliability across complex distributed systems.
• Independently scope, break down, implement, and document end-to-end features.
• Mentor juniors on integration best practices and API design principles.

What you’ll bring to the table:
• Strong object-oriented design skills with expertise in design patterns for intuitive, modular SaaS connectors and API interfaces.
• Proven experience building concurrent, high-throughput systems handling massive data volumes from diverse SaaS sources.
• Deep knowledge of REST API nuances (e.g., idempotency, pagination, error handling) and trade-offs in scalability, load balancing, and availability.
• Excellent programming in Java; mastery of data structures, algorithms, and CS fundamentals for optimized integrations.
• Analytical mindset for troubleshooting SaaS connector challenges like data inconsistencies, token refreshes or schema drifts etc.

Candidate Persona:
• 5-6 years building scalable SaaS integrations or distributed data systems.
• B Tech in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed college.
