Job Description

New Era Technology is seeking a highly experienced SAP Basis & BTP Cloud Architect to provide part-time / freelance support to our client. This role requires deep expertise in SAP Basis administration and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), with the ability to design, manage, and optimize cloud-based SAP landscapes while supporting critical business and transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect who can engage independently, provide strategic guidance, and deliver reliable operational support on demand.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Basis & Landscape Management

•
Architect, configure, and manage SAP Basis landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager)

•
Perform system installations, upgrades, patches, kernel upgrades, and transports

•
Manage system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting

•
Plan and execute system refreshes, client copies, and DR strategies

SAP BTP & Cloud Architecture

•
Design and support solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)

•
Manage BTP services, subaccounts, security roles, and integrations

•
Support cloud-native extensions, integrations, and side-by-side applications

•
Work closely with functional, technical, and integration teams

Security, Compliance & Automation

•
Manage SAP security, user administration, authorizations, and role design

•
Ensure high availability, backup, recovery, and compliance standards

•
Automate Basis and cloud operations using scripts and best practices

Advisory & Stakeholder Support

•
Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders on SAP Basis and cloud strategy

•
Provide on-demand support, issue resolution, and architectural guidance

•
Document solutions, processes, and best practices

Required Skills & Experience

•
8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration

•
Strong expertise in:

•
SAP ECC / S/4HANA / BW / Solution Manager

•
SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)

•
Proven experience in SAP on Cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP / SAP Cloud)

•
Strong knowledge of:

•
SAP system architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting

•
SAP security, roles, authorizations, and transports

•
Ability to work independently in a part-time / freelance model

Good to Have

•
Experience with SAP integrations (CPI, PI/PO)

•
Exposure to SAP Activate methodology

•
SAP certifications in Basis / BTP / Cloud Architecture

•
Experience supporting global clients and multiple landscapes
