FRENCH SPEAKING CONSTRUCTION/ENGINEERING SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALISTS REQUIRED IN WEST AFRICA for our client, an internationally respected manufacturer of construction, civil engineering and civil infrastructure solutions. Financially strong with a portfolio of products, they offer clients solutions for projects within construction, civil engineering and infrastructure sectors such as road, rail, highways and water.
TERRITORY/AREAS:
Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad, Senegal, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Benin, Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Sales Manager – RSM/BDM (Western African / Francophone Africa)
Circa £35,000k - £55,000k+ (dependent on experience) + bonus and associated benefits.
PLEASE NOTE TO BE CONSIDERED YOU MUST HAVE:
* Fluency in French and English language skills.
* Experience in sales and developing business in West Africa, specifically French Speaking Africa (Francophone Africa), with strong local connections.
* Knowledge of a technical, construction or engineering based product or service. With a track record of generating sales and winning tenders with customers within Construction, Civil Engineering or Infrastructure sectors such as road, rail, highways and water contractors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Travel throughout Western Africa carrying out business development activities with local contractors, foreign governments, EPC’s, NGO’s and clients in the civil engineering, construction and infrastructure sectors.
*Develop and manage sales and key partnerships with distributors and agents in the territory.
*Act as company’s eyes and ears in the region, building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers in foreign governments and civil infrastructure contractors.
*Promote portfolio of products such as construction products, scaffolding, formwork, falsework, structural steel, steel structures, bridges or bridging systems.
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES:
*Based locally in West Africa you should work and live in the region and be willing to travel throughout the territory to areas in French speaking Africa.
*Experienced in export, business development or conducting business overseas, will understand social culture of West Africa Region with a good understanding of construction and infrastructure engineering with local connections.
*Able to demonstrate business development and track record of sales throughout the region, selling construction, engineering and civil infrastructure products. Understanding emergency or military infrastructure sectors would be a benefit.
*Be entrepreneurial, energetic and tenacious with a professional manner, able to communicate / negotiate at all levels.
*Show ability in sales, business development and project management.
Fluency in French Language Skills
