About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated QA Automation Analyst / SDET to join our Product & Technology team in Bangalore. In this role, you will take ownership of building, executing, and maintaining automated test solutions to ensure the quality, stability, and reliability of our Warehouse Management System (WMS) applications.

Automation testing will be your primary focus. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and business teams to automate critical business workflows, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and ensure high-quality releases. Experience in manual testing and exposure to WMS or supply chain systems will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Automation & Framework Development (Primary Focus)

· Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright or similar modern frameworks for UI, API, and backend services.

· Build reusable automation components, utilities, and test frameworks following best practices.

· Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify automation opportunities.

· Convert manual test cases and business scenarios into stable and maintainable automation scripts.

· Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure test suites are executed before deployments.

· Analyze automation failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.

· Maintain automation code quality, documentation, and version control.

Test Execution & Release Support

· Execute automation test suites before every release and validate critical business flows.

· Perform manual testing when required for new features, complex workflows, and exploratory scenarios.

· Support SIT, regression, and UAT cycles using both automated and manual approaches.

· Prepare and share clear test execution and automation summary reports with stakeholders.

Functional & Domain Testing (Secondary Focus)

· Understand and validate core WMS workflows including inbound, outbound, inventory, picking, packing, and dispatch.

· Analyze business requirements and functional specifications to identify test scenarios.

· Validate integration flows between WMS, ERP, TMS, and other systems.

· Perform backend data validation using SQL queries.

Defect Management & Collaboration

· Log, track, and retest defects using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.

· Provide clear defect reports with steps to reproduce, evidence, and impact analysis.

· Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure timely issue resolution.

· Actively participate in sprint planning, reviews, and quality discussions.

Requirements:
Qualifications & Skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

· 3-5 years of experience in software testing with strong focus on automation.

· Hands-on experience with Playwright or similar automation frameworks.

· Experience designing and executing automation test suites as part of release cycles.

· Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.

· Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or similar programming languages.

· Working knowledge of SQL for backend data validation.

· Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

Good to Have

· Experience working with WMS or supply chain applications.

· Understanding of warehouse operations and business workflows.

· Exposure to API testing using Postman or similar tools.

· Experience using test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.

· Knowledge of integration flows between WMS, ERP, and TMS systems.
