The Role and Impact:
As an AI Frameworks Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of artificial intelligence software development. You will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of AI frameworks, such as PyTorch. Your work will directly impact Intel's ability to deliver cutting-edge AI solutions, enhance distributed algorithms, and optimize software performance across various hardware backends. By collaborating with researchers, engineers, and other stakeholders, you will be instrumental in advancing Intel's mission to enable transformative AI capabilities worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop AI software and frameworks to optimize performance across computing hardware backends.
- Implement distributed algorithms, such as model/data parallel frameworks, parameter servers, and asynchronous data communication in machine learning and deep learning frameworks.
- Transform computational graph representations of neural network models and develop machine learning and deep learning primitives in mathematical libraries.
- Profile distributed deep learning models to identify performance bottlenecks and propose solutions across component teams.
- Collaborate with machine learning and deep learning researchers to integrate advancements into framework optimization.
- Contribute code to open-source projects that enhance Intel's AI capabilities while maintaining industry standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's or above degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-1+ years of experience with a Master's degree.
- Solid programming skills in C, C++, or Python.
- Proficiency with AI frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Demonstrated ability to debug and optimize software for performance.
- Foundational understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with performance optimization technologies and techniques.
- Knowledge of large language models and related inference stacks.
- Experience contributing to open-source projects or collaborating within the open-source ecosystem.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical challenges.
- Effective communication skills, including proficiency in written and spoken English.
