At our Peripheral Vascular Health team in Medtronic, plc, we focus on designing and developing cutting edge technologies for the manufacture of medical devices in the Cardiovascular Portfolio. We get people back to fuller lives-the right blood flow for the right patients. The PVH operating unit leads the way in the Superficial Venous, Deep Venous Stenting, and Drug-Coated Balloon markets, caring for nearly 1 million patients globally with lifesaving and life-enhancing therapies. Our Engineers are directly involved in the development of innovative products and processes for use in medical devices. A Day in The Life Of:
• As a Process Development Engineer I, you will have opportunities to pursue ideas that are innovative and exciting by developing best in class technology solutions to address unmet business needs
• Participate in all areas of new product development including the following: Design, Technology development & advancement, Automation, Vendor management & Project management
• Research and collaborate with cross functional team members on Design, Reliability & Manufacturability methodology (DRM), 3-D drawing/printing and Extended reality to develop best in class technologies that allow us manufacture new products to treat millions of patients worldwide
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, execute and deliver on New Product Development requirements
• Support process development, characterization, and validation activities to support new product introduction
• Identify and carry out practical actions to solve technical problems using your new and existing skills in project management, six sigma tools, process characterisation and technology development
• Compile, document, and present key learnings to project and functional Leadership teams
Key Skills & Experience
• Minimum Level 7 Degree in Engineering/Science or related discipline with a minimum 1-year relevant direct Science/Engineering experience within medical device environment
• Dynamic team player and can work effectively and proactively on cross functional teams
• Knowledge of medical device processes with a good understanding of product and process design
• Good communicator and fluent in English, with a high level of enthusiasm and motivation
• Good organizational, presentation and project management skills are desirable
