Responsibilities:

• Working on projects of diverse scope and complexity, design, build, implement, modify, test, debug and deploy software systems, large-scale infrastructure platforms and network services

• Responsible for performance, reliability, availability, scalability and security.

• Collect requirements for product features from product team. come up with design specifications for the features and conduct formal and informal design reviews with the team.

• Implement final design with low latency and stand alone technologies including tests.

• Tech Lead for projects involving many people (design, develop, ship and maintain) 

• Scope work and break it down into deliverables, milestones; Estimate and manage project timelines, risk

• Set technical direction for the team; Identify and reduce technical debt proactively

• Understand tradeoffs between technical, product, user, security, legal and develop solutions based on them

• Provide technical advice on projects involving multiple teams 

• Responsible for quality of the team delivery and ensuring knowledge is shared

Qualifications:

• 10+ years Software development experience with 2+ years experience as Lead Engineer 

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field

• Experience with cloud native application development in GCP using, GKE, Data Flow, Apache Beam, PubSub, Spanner etc

• Expertise in distributed software systems such as stream/batch processing, highly scalable serving systems 

• Proven experience building software systems which are highly scalable and performant 

• Experience cross collaborating with other functions such as Production Engineering, DevOps, Front End, Product management, UX Design

• Experience with AI development, ML, and GenAI
