Job Description

Sunayu is seeking a skilled OpenShift DevOps Engineer on a 1099 contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in managing and automating OpenShift environments to facilitate seamless application integration and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage, configure, and automate OpenShift environments to support scalable application development and deployment.

Collaborate with development teams to integrate and deploy applications within the OpenShift environment.

Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of the OpenShift platform.

Optimize and scale OpenShift clusters to enhance performance and efficiency.

Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations and processes.

Offer technical support and guidance to teams on OpenShift best practices and troubleshooting.

Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to OpenShift, Kubernetes, and DevOps best practices.

Implement security measures to protect applications and infrastructure within the OpenShift environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3-5 years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on OpenShift or other container orchestration platforms.

Expertise in managing OpenShift clusters and containerized applications.

Experience with CI/CD tools and processes like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.

Strong knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy.

Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

Strong knowledge of networking, security protocols, and Linux-based system administration.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Certifications

OpenShift certification or similar credentials.

Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.

Deep understanding of Agile, DevOps, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Experience with microservices architecture, container orchestration, and distributed deployment strategies.
